SpaceX has scheduled a Falcon 9 rocket launch for Tuesday evening from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The mission will carry 29 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit, lifting off from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40).
Launch Window and Mission Details
The launch window opens at 6:26 p.m. ET and extends through 10:26 p.m. ET. The Falcon 9 rocket will deploy 29 Starlink internet satellites as part of SpaceX’s ongoing effort to expand its global broadband constellation.
Veteran Booster Flying for the 11th Time
The first stage booster assigned to this mission will be making its 11th flight. The booster has a proven track record, having previously supported the SES O3b mPOWER-E, Crew-10, Bandwagon-3, mPOWER-D, CRS-33, and five prior Starlink missions.
Booster Recovery Planned on Atlantic Droneship
After stage separation, SpaceX plans to land the first stage booster on the A Shortfall of Gravitas droneship, which will be stationed in the Atlantic Ocean. This recovery effort is part of the company’s strategy to reuse rocket hardware and reduce launch costs.
