Pennsylvania Man Arrested in Cocoa Beach for Allegedly Exposing Himself to 7-Year-Old
A 69-year-old man from Pennsylvania was arrested in Cocoa Beach on March 9, 2026, after police say he exposed himself to a seven-year-old child on the beach before fleeing the scene on foot.
Incident Details
Officers from the Cocoa Beach Police Department responded at approximately 11:23 a.m. to the area near 1600 North Atlantic Avenue after receiving a report that an older man had allegedly exposed himself to a young child. Following the incident, the suspect fled westbound across North Atlantic Avenue while being pursued by the child’s father and a bystander.
Officers and detectives canvassed the surrounding area and located a man matching the suspect’s description walking along Jamaica Drive. The individual was detained and initially provided a false name to law enforcement, according to investigators.
Suspect Identified and Charged
Through further investigation, officers identified the man as Ray Torralbes, 69, of Pennsylvania. Detectives determined probable cause to charge Torralbes with lewd and lascivious exhibition involving a victim under 16, and providing false identification to law enforcement.
Torralbes was transported to the Brevard County Jail and booked on a $10,500 bond.
Investigation Ongoing
Authorities said the investigation remains active. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Taylor Payne with the Cocoa Beach Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at 321-868-3344.
As with all criminal cases, the charges filed against Ray Torralbes are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
