A multi-day hackathon organized by Groundswell Startups is set to take place April 10 through 12, 2026, in Melbourne, Florida. The event will bring together developers, engineers, and creators to collaborate on innovative software and hardware solutions during an intensive weekend of building and competition.
Two Competition Tracks
Participants can choose between two distinct tracks. The Coders Track focuses on software development projects involving artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and web and mobile applications, including software-as-a-service platforms. The Tinkerers Track blends software and hardware innovation, encouraging teams to explore projects involving Internet of Things technology, robotics, and embedded systems, including hardware-as-a-service solutions.
Teams will have the flexibility to select a theme or core problem statement during onboarding, with the option to pitch their own ideas. Subject matter experts will be available throughout the weekend to guide participants as they refine concepts and develop their projects.
Weekend Schedule
The event kicks off on Friday, April 10, with a Welcome Mixer at Iron Oak Post, located at 2023 Melbourne Court in Melbourne. Participants, mentors, and community members will gather for networking and introductions before the intensive build sessions begin.
Saturday and Sunday will feature focused development time as teams work to bring their ideas to life. The weekend concludes with project presentations and judging.
Registration
Registration is available through the Groundswell Startups website. The event is open to individuals and teams of varying skill levels who are interested in technology innovation and entrepreneurship on the Space Coast.
