
Five Arrested in Connection to Violent Robbery at Melbourne City Hall Parking Garage
MELBOURNE, FL – Five individuals have been arrested following an investigation into a violent robbery that occurred on November 30, 2024, inside the Melbourne City Hall Parking Garage. The Melbourne Police Department launched a months-long probe after videos of the attack surfaced on social media.
Suspects and Charges
The suspects have been identified as:
- Jayvon Jordan, 19 – Charged with robbery with a firearm, unlawful carrying of a concealed firearm, assault with intent to commit a felony, and carrying a concealed weapon.
- Taryus Jordan, 22 – Charged with robbery (no firearm or weapon) and battery.
- Bryce Delgatto, 19 – Charged with robbery with a weapon.
- Shaun Curran, 18 – Charged with robbery with a weapon.
- Unnamed Juvenile Male – Charged with robbery with a firearm and open carry of an electronic weapon.
Details of the Attack
According to Melbourne Police Sgt. Sheridan Shelley, the victim was approached inside the parking garage by an armed suspect before being assaulted by multiple individuals. The attackers punched, kicked, and used a stun gun on the victim before stealing his wallet and necklace. Several bystanders recorded the violent incident, and the footage later circulated online.
Investigation and Arrests
Officer Whiteside, assigned to the case, worked with the department’s Criminal Intelligence Unit to identify and apprehend the suspects. Authorities have confirmed that two additional individuals are still under investigation, with charges expected to follow.
