What Happened
According to Florida Highway Patrol, a 2011 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling southbound when it left the roadway to the right, ran onto the outside shoulder, and entered the wooded area alongside the highway. The 72-year-old male driver, a resident of Edgewater, was pronounced dead at the scene. His 59-year-old female passenger, a resident of Port Orange, was transported to HCA Lake Monroe Hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
