Former Principal Sentenced to Probation in Teen House Party Case
VIERA, Fla. — Former elementary school principal Elizabeth Hill-Brodigan was sentenced on February 2, 2026, to two years of supervised probation after pleading no contest to three misdemeanor charges related to a teen house party at her Cocoa Beach home. Hill-Brodigan avoided any felony convictions as part of the disposition.
The Charges
According to the Office of the State Attorney for Florida’s 18th Judicial Circuit, Hill-Brodigan entered a no contest plea to one misdemeanor count of holding an open house party and two misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency or dependency of minors. The case stems from a house party the state attorney’s office says she allowed at her Cocoa Beach home in January 2025.
What Happened at the Party
The January 2025 gathering involved underage drinking and resulted in multiple incidents. One student was evaluated by paramedics for alcohol poisoning, and another attendee was arrested. Hill-Brodigan was subsequently charged, and the case drew attention given her role as an educator and school administrator.
Sentence
Hill-Brodigan received two years of supervised probation under the terms of her sentence. The plea agreement allowed her to resolve the case without a felony record. She previously served as a principal in Brevard County’s public school system. Her employment status was not confirmed at the time of reporting.
As with all criminal cases, the no contest plea entered by Elizabeth Hill-Brodigan does not constitute a formal admission of guilt, and any charges referenced herein remain part of the official court record.
