The Elevated Leadership Academy (ELA) held the kickoff session of its inaugural Space Coast Cohort, gathering a diverse group of professionals from across the region under one roof at the Center for Collaboration — one of the Space Coast’s leading convening venues. The cohort brought together leaders from aerospace, education, finance, banking, construction, local government, elected office, hospitality, nonprofit organizations, real estate, marketing, small business, and the performing arts.
A Diverse Room Reflecting Space Coast Leadership
Organizers described the makeup of the inaugural cohort as a reflection of what leadership looks like across the region — participants with different professional paths and titles united by a shared commitment to growth and community impact. Engagement was strong, and the energy in the room matched the significance of the program’s launch.
What the Program Offers
The Elevated Leadership Academy is designed to challenge participants, build skills, and foster a sense of accountability among a peer group of regional leaders. The program emphasizes not just professional development, but the creation of a community committed to raising the standard of leadership across the Space Coast.
What Participants Are Saying
“The inaugural Elevated Leadership Academy created something special—a space where leaders could be honest, challenged, and supported. It wasn’t just about developing skills, but about building a community committed to lifting each other and our broader community to a higher standard,” said Sean Williams, Vice President at Cowbell Agency.
“This session brought me back to leadership concepts I hadn’t thought about in a while, and it was good to be challenged. Working alongside other leaders and hearing their perspectives added a lot of value to the experience,” said Matt Passarella of Wharton Smith.
“This program with Elevated Leadership Academy is honestly a game changer. The conversations, the energy, the accountability is next level. I’m already excited for the next session and the next session. Building alongside this group of leaders is going to be something special,” said Samantha Sanchez of Fluent Mortgage.
“This initial course has set a high bar for the rest of the Academy. Really looking forward to more learning and networking in this Academy,” said Brandon Burroughs of Boeing.
Community Involvement and Expansion
ELA cohort members are expected to be visible in the broader community through volunteer efforts and collaborative initiatives. The program is expanding, with a Tampa Bay Cohort planned for the second quarter in partnership with the Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce. The program cited support from the Melbourne Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce as key to making the Space Coast launch possible.
ELA is actively seeking mission-aligned sponsors to help fund scholarships for small business owners, entrepreneurs, and nonprofit leaders who are making meaningful contributions to their communities. Interested organizations can learn more through the ELA website.
